"The Drive"
John Elway has now become the first Denver Bronco's
player to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame.
One of the defining moments in John Elway's
career was the 98 yard fourth quarter drive in the AFC
playoff game against Cleveland Jan. 11 1986 : Denver 23, at Cleveland
20.
Denver won the game in overtime after John Elway
engineered a drive of 98 yards in 15 plays ending in a 5-yard
pass to Mark Jackson with the score at (13:20) to tie the game.
Rich Karlis 33-yard FG in overtime won the game for the Denver Broncos.
As a result of this drive the Denver Bronco's would go to the Super
Bowl to face the Washington Redskins.
No one in the history of the NFL is better know
for fourth quarter heroics than John Elway. The statistics of
John's Career tell the story better than any sports commentator
can describe. The magnitude of John's accomplishments and leadership
on the field are Legendary. During his career John Elway engineered
40 fourth quarter winning drives to provide the margin
of victory for the Denver Broncos and added 7 game tying drives.

Ultimately under John's leadership on the football
field the Denver Broncos were successful at winning two consecutive
Super Bowl victories in 1998 and 1999. It was John Elway's choice
to retire following his second Super Bowl victory forever sealing
the question to the realm of speculation as to whether he could
create three consecutive Superbowl wins.
John's unique ability and competitive drive is
the heart of his Hall of Fame career in the NFL. John Elway because
of his unique competitive spirit has been given the enviable title of:

John Elway's induction into the Football Hall

specialty rehabilitation and research for patients with spinal
cord injury and traumatic brain injury. Craig Hospital participated
in the treatment of Christopher Reeve's spinal cord injury.

and John Elway meet in John's Denver offices to prepare
the life casting molds for the art work.
John grips the football as it will be illustrated in the art.
John prepares the signatures to be used in etching
the stone bases and autographs the
footballs to be used in the art.
The mold making process is video recorded as it progresses.
John grimaces in discomfort while having the molds
removed along with some body hair.
John and Raelee check the final results
of the the life cast molds for the art.
