A mythological elemental
being of the air meets the talisman of the bringer of good
fortune. Across time and cultures the mind seeks explanations
for the power of the unknown and gives them substance as icons.
This tendency is at the heart of language and is reflected
in its earliest beginnings particularly in the Egyptian and
Chinese cultures where language started with the depiction
of nature and its elements as pictograms only later to be
changed to phonemes and alphabet.
