Seduction
of Isis

A venerable Oriental wizard encased in a long cloth robe,
tries to trap the moon into the transparent “moon catcher”
which hangs from his shoulders. The moon has already seduced
him. Mutual seductions. The head and paw of the lion are reduced
into a simple style while the rest of his body is reduced
to a few lines. The moon has a partial second face. Between
the wizard and the three tall slender mysterious “beings”
which stand upon or grow from the earth, there is a small
boy (myself) broadly smiling because his imaginations set
the mood and style for this painting. The phoenix rises at
the far right.
